Jesus at the Center of All Things
St. James Evangelical Church is a non-denominational church and reformed in our doctrine and worship. We are situated in the Missouri countryside, nine miles from New Haven, MO and twelve miles from Hermann.
Our congregation has been worshiping God and witnessing in this area for 135 years. Established in 1890 by German settlers coming out of the German evangelical church.
St. James exists, first and foremost, to glorify God, by equipping God’s church to engage God’s world, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We’d love for you to visit us and want you to know that there is a place for you here at St. James.
Romans 11:36 - For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
Our Pastor
Reverend Tom Lloyd and his wife Sally have been serving St. James Church since February of 2008. They have raised three children and have ten grandchildren. After graduating from Covenant Seminary Tom served as associate pastor at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Eureka, MO, before receiving a call to Community Presbyterian Church in McIntosh, Florida. Early in 2008 Tom and Sally left Florida and moved back to their home state of Missouri to become the new pastor at St. James Evangelical Church in Stony Hill, MO.
